I’m back at it again with another installment of Dear Data and this week I recorded all the times I got distracted at work. I was scared to see the results of this because I know I have a hard time focusing at work (but I’m working from home so…who’s not distracted?).

Front: the data

Back: the explanation
Wednesday was apparently a good day for me. I must have been rushing to finish something for work and was, for once, able to focus on that. Games and TikTok seem to be together often, which makes sense because for some odd reason, I have the habit of playing games on my phone, and when I have to wait for something to be finished in-game, I switch to TikTok to pass the time.
I’m not noticing any other major patterns here, other than maybe the Internet rabbit hole usually happens later on in the day. Maybe I’m less distracted in the morning? My phone calls generally happen first, and sometimes more than once a day (it’s the same person every day).
For some reason, I was really feeling the whole planetary system vibe, which is why each data point looks like a little planet with rings. I have no idea where it came from, but I just went with it. Sometimes you just gotta go with it.
